Diabetes Risk Estimator

This tool provides an estimate of your risk of developing type 2 diabetes over the next 7.5 years. Based on established clinical research, it evaluates key factors such as age, BMI, blood glucose, blood pressure, and family history to provide a personalized risk estimate.

Note: This tool is provided for informational and educational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Results should not be interpreted as medical advice. Users are encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare professional for evaluation and guidance specific to their individual circumstances.

How this estimator works

The underlying model of this diabetes risk estimator is derived from published research in 2002 by Dr. Michael Stern and colleagues at the University of Texas, based on an observational study of approximately 3,000 adults.

The model incorporates multiple factors associated with diabetes risk, including age, sex, body mass index (BMI), ethnicity, family history of diabetes, fasting glucose level, systolic blood pressure, and HDL cholesterol.
